Testimonials
“Jane offers a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere where you can unmask and fully relax. She is an approachable and highly skilled practitioner who customises each session on the day. The massage sessions are adapted to my sensory needs (laying on my side instead of face down, not massaging the front of my neck) and Jane is very accommodating and empathetic. I always feel a huge difference in how my body feels at the end of an appointment. I’d highly recommend Jane to anyone who is neurodivergent and nervous about going for a massage. “

“I have known Jane for just under a year now and have always loved her calm and caring attitude. I have had two massages with her now and each time I have walked out of her therapy room feeling so much lighter in my body. I hadn’t realised I had been carrying pain in my hip joint until after Jane’s massage, when I climbed stairs and realised quite what a relief I was feeling. Her massages are very firm, which is what I prefer and I really feel like she is releasing the tension and stress in my shoulders and back. Thank you so much Jane, not only is it time for me to relax and enjoy but I know I’m giving my physical body time too”

“I have enjoyed Jane’s wonderful massages for a couple of years and can thoroughly recommend her. She spends time getting to know what you are looking for from your massage and always manages to come up with just what you need, whether it is deep-tissue work on a particular part of the body or a soothing, relaxing massage. Recently, I have been having her one and a half hour massages and they are exceptionally wonderful!”

“I first started using Jane’s services in 2010 whilst training for The Great North Run and had no hesitation in using her services again when my career took a major change of direction in early 2015. I’ve gone from spending the last 27 years in an office sitting behind a desk to walking dogs 7 days a week which is having a massive impact on the muscles and joints rarely used in my body. My monthly visits to Jane for massage vary greatly from session to session. One visit can be a deep tissue massage to target particular body parts, such as tension in my shoulders, back and arms from the constant pull from lead walking dogs or for aching hips, legs and feet depending on how many hours spent dog walking in a month. If I’ve had a particularly stressful month, I may opt for a relaxing head massage and facial, simply as a relaxation aid. I am also a great advocate in having regular massage, simply as a relaxation aid, and preventative tool keep my body as free from injury as possible. ”

“Jane has made a significant difference to myself changing and recognising personal skills which have helped me to alter the way I cope with severe neurological pain. Being able to use Mindfulness and breathing techniques have enabled me to alter the way I try to cope with constant debilitating pain. Jane has helped me to see that I do have the ability to change the way I deal with pain which has empowered me and made me more confident and aware of how I react to constant pain, particularly during and after major surgery last year and significantly improving my mindset towards permanent pain. ”

“I have been attending holistic massage sessions with Jane Smith for a number of years and her approach is personal, effective and long lasting. I would not hesitate to book an appointment with her if you are feeling stressed, tense or having genuine muscle pain. Jane is none judgemental and puts you at ease straight away by encouraging you to be honest and open about yourself as a whole. Jane cares about your spiritual development and has a profound way of understanding your inner struggles and offers a unique and affordable opportunity to escape yourself or the turbulences of every day living in a comfortable and calming environment. ”
